One of the saddest days in my recent life was the day we had to take our family pet of fourteen years to the vet and have her put to sleep. Would pet insurance have made a difference her her? Probably not, but it highlighted for me the need for some kind of backup when it comes to paying for the price of quality medical care for our pets.

Pet Insurance Plans are a relatively new offering being less than ten years old. Nonetheless, the pet health care premiums are more that worth their expenditure when you visit the vet and find out that you can either spend hundreds, even thousands, to treat your pet or put them down. Many pet owners don’t even consider the need for such coverage until it is way too late.
